Why it’s interesting
Sloptris translates “AI-assisted coding” into an instantly readable falling-block system. You may place pieces manually or press G to have “AI” produce one immediately. The catch is that an unreviewed generated block can mutate after landing, disrupting a structure that looked stable. Pressing R spends time on review but locks the current piece. Speed, code review, and technical debt stop being abstract metaphors and become coloured blocks rising toward the top of the screen. This is playable satire, not a game that calls a live generative model.
How to try it
Open the creator's page and press Enter for the first run. In a signed-out browser we started the game, pressed G, and saw the generated counter increase. Arrow keys move and rotate, G generates, R reviews, and Tab restores the control guide; a sprint mode is also available. It is free and needs neither account nor installation. Try one run that generates without review to watch the consequences, then balance speed against checking.
Requirements and sources
Tony Alicea published the game on September 16, 2026. Inspection of the page script shows that “generation” uses deterministic local rules and makes no network model call, so this entry presents it specifically as AI-coding satire. The page credits music by Juhani Junkala and sound effects by Kenney as CC0. Its official touch icon is used only to identify the game, without extending that licence claim. There is no login, payment, real-person media, or sensitive permission.
