Why it’s interesting

Guess the Line is a timed drawing game with a machine-learning robot as the judge. Each card combines a style or shape with an object, producing prompts such as a geometric dog or a surrealist apple. You sketch the prompt and only collect the card when the model recognizes it. The stranger the combination, the more the game feels like a live comedy about mismatched human and machine vision.

How to try it

Open the official experiment, choose Play game, then press Play. The first level gives you 60 seconds to collect three cards and provides Draw, Erase, Clear, and Skip controls. This review reached the live canvas and its rotating prompt deck without signing in. Start with the clearest outline; if the robot does not react, clear the canvas or skip to the next card.

Requirements and sources

The game is free and works best with a mouse or a generous touch screen. Signing in is optional and is presented only for saving scores and progress. The official page dates the project to April 20, 2022 and credits artists in residence Romain Cazier and Emil Wallner. The core loop does not require personal photos or private files. The cover is remotely referenced from the official experiment page.
