Why it’s interesting
Reef Relay is a calm route-planning puzzle. You do not steer the fish directly. Instead, rotate brass current markers on a sea chart so the small orange fish passes every golden seed before reaching the HOME garden. Each solved route brings more of the reef to life. Seven currents grow from a two-turn introduction into crossing paths, kelpwood, and longer journeys. There is no timer or life penalty, and Undo, Reset, and a small hint keep experimentation gentle.
How to try it
Open the itch.io page and choose Run game. In the first current, rotate the two arrows by clicking them or focusing them and pressing Enter or Space. Choose Release the current when the route looks right. R releases and U undoes. Sound is optional, reduced motion is available, all seven chapters can be selected immediately, and progress saves when browser storage is available. We entered the first puzzle and confirmed the markers, seed, release control, and chapter list without an account.
Requirements and sources
The HTML5 game is free, needs no account, and runs in a modern browser. itch.io records a release at 09:22 UTC on September 8, 2026 and credits alvinhastra-web. The page says Codex Astra designed, coded, tested, and wrote the project; no AI runs during play. Fish, seaweed, rocks, and bubbles come from Kenney’s CC0 Fish Pack 2.0, while the interface uses CSS and SVG and sound uses Web Audio. The cover is the official 630 by 500 itch.io image.
