Why it’s interesting
Thunderfall brings vertical arcade shooting to a browser. Your aircraft fires automatically, leaving you to weave between bullets, chase weapon pickups and decide when to spend a bomb. Three aircraft and several weapon types provide different ways to approach a run.
The public creation record credits jackroc and describes GPT-6 Astra assisting with design, procedural visuals, synthesized audio and code through multiple iterations. This is a finished game, not a model benchmark. The creator states that its original graphics and audio do not reuse commercial arcade assets.
How to try it
Choose standard mode and move with arrow keys, WASD or dragging. We verified the opening sector, automatic scoring, bomb consumption and pause, not a full human playthrough. Choose a single practice sector for a short break. According to the documented rules, the full five-sector campaign requires at least ten minutes of active combat, excluding menus and pauses.
Requirements and sources
Free, with no login or API key. A modern browser is required; touch controls are provided, but we did not test physical phones. High scores stay in the current browser. Created September 8, 2026, with original code, procedural graphics and sound under CC0. Expect fast motion, bullets and flashes.
